Why It’s on Our Radar
We’ve talked about the Venture card before, but this limited time offer definitely caught our attention because we haven’t seen an offer like this on this card before.
Right now, you can get $300 to use toward hotel and vacation rental bookings through Capital One Travel in your first cardholder year, plus the opportunity to earn 75,000 bonus miles after meeting the spending requirement.
What we’ve always liked about the Venture is how simple it is. You earn 2X miles on every purchase, without having to remember which card to use for which category, and you have the option to transfer those miles to 15+ travel loyalty programs.
For a $95 annual fee, we think this limited-time offer makes a card we already liked even more interesting
Where these miles can come in handy
There are some travel expenses that aren't always easy to cover with traditional airline or hotel points.
Think:
✈️ Flights
🏨 Hotels
🏠 Eligible vacation rentals
🚗 Rental cars
🎟️ Even certain travel purchases like theme park tickets when purchased through an authorized seller and coded as eligible travel
For example, 75,000 miles can cover $750 in eligible travel purchases when redeemed that way.
Yes...this can even help with Disney. 🏰
One of our favorite examples is buying Disney tickets through an authorized ticket seller such as Undercover Tourist.
When the purchase codes as eligible travel, you can redeem Capital One miles toward the charge.
For a family, $750 toward eligible travel expenses can go a long way.

Why we think it's beginner-friendly
I'd make this extremely skimmable:
2X miles on every purchase
No keeping up with rotating categories for your everyday spending.
Flexible redemption options
Use miles toward eligible travel purchases or explore transfer partners.
$95 annual fee
A lower annual fee than many premium travel cards.
No foreign transaction fees
Useful if international travel is part of the plan.
15+ transfer partners
Your miles aren't limited to booking through one travel portal.
Who I think this card makes the most sense for
I'd look at Venture if you:
✓ Are newer to travel rewards
✓ Want one straightforward card for everyday purchases
✓ Want transferable miles without a premium-card annual fee
✓ Like having both simple redemptions and transfer partners
✓ Have at least $4,000 of normal spending coming up in the first 3 months
✓ Know you'll be able to use the current $300 Capital One Travel benefit during your first cardholder year

Keep This in Mind
The Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card has a $95 annual fee, so we always recommend making sure the card makes sense for how you actually travel and spend.
Also, the limited-time $300 benefit isn’t a general travel credit. It can only be used toward hotel and vacation rental bookings through Capital One Travel during your first cardholder year.
If you know you’ll use it, we think it adds a lot of value to the current offer — but it’s definitely something to consider before applying.
If you've learned something from MCM and decide one of the cards I share is right for you, I'd be incredibly grateful if you used one of my links to apply. That's one of the main ways this page makes money and lets me keep creating all these free resources.
